Welcome to this day of celebration. It is a wonderful day to gather here to witness the union of Groom and Bride. Together, they have built an amazing life. Today, we share with joy, their decision to keep building an even more amazing life as a married couple.
Our first reading will be 1stCorinthians, Chapter 13, Versus 4 7
Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
I didn't fall in love with you,
I walked into love with you
with my eyes wide open.
Choosing to take every step along the way
I do believe in fate and destiny
but I also believe we are only fated to do the things
we'd choose anyway.
And I'd choose you: in a hundred lifetimes,
in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality.
I'd find you and I'd choose you.
By destiny, we are aligned,
Our love eternal and true
We will face challenges together
and find strength in our union by
the sun, moon, and stars,
our love is blessed
may we always be as happy
as we are today.

Rings:
The roundness of the wedding ring is said to represent eternity and to symbolize unending love, and devotion and that the couple is forever united in the marriage bond, in this physical life and the next.
Ring Exchanges
It is now time to exchange rings. Wedding rings are symbols of the journey taken together, a completion of one chapter and the start of another. Forged by the fires of compassion, compromise, and love, not to be easily destroyed.
Groom, as you place the ring on Bride’s finger, please repeat after me:
I give you this ring as a symbol of my love for you. I will be by your side now and forever. With this ring, I marry you.

Pagan Wedding Script with Handfasting Ceremony
Welcome Friends, family and loved ones. We are all here today to witness Groom and Bride join hands and be bound together by their love, now and forever.
Today is a day to celebrate the love of Groom and Bride. They are two people who are the halves of a whole. Two souls, coming together to form one single being; two hearts, beating in a single rhythm. Today we join in our support of them as they offer themselves to each other. We celebrate their love, their joy and their expectations.
Officiant:
Groom and Bride, the estate of wedlock is a holy one, one not to be entered into lightly, but only under the guidance of Infinite Wisdom and the inspiration of Divine Love. You are entering into that relationship which is the expression of the uniting, harmonizing power of divine love. Marriage is the uniting of two souls already attuned to each other. When there is a true bond such as this, it is proper that public acknowledgement of it be made. We are here to bear witness to your entering into this closer relationship of husband and wife, and we believe you are already one in spirit.
Blessing:
Today, we ask that the infinite light of the divine shine upon this union. In that spirit, I offer a blessing to this ceremony.
Blessed be this marriage with the gifts from the east -- new beginnings that come each day with the rising sun, communication of the heart, mind, body and soul.
Blessed be this marriage with the gifts of the south -- the light of the heart, the heat of passion, and the warmth of a loving home.
Blessed be this marriage with the gifts of the west -- the rushing excitement of a raging river, the soft and pure cleansing of a rainstorm, and a commitment as deep as the ocean itself.
Blessed be this marriage with the gifts of the north -- a solid foundation on which to build your lives, abundance and growth of your home, and the stability to be found by holding one another at the end of the day.
Bride and Groom these four simple blessings will help you on your journey that begins today. However, they are only tools. They are tools which you must use together to create the light, the strength, the infinite energy now and forever of a love you both so richly deserve.

Exchange of rings:
Officiant: May we please have the rings
At this point the designated person will give the rings to the Officiant.
Officiant: (Blesses the rings)
May these rings be blessed with; Air for hopes and dreams; Fire for the spark of love; Water for harmony and healing; And Earth for strength.
The circle is the symbol of the sun, earth, and universe. It is the symbol of peace. Let this ring be the symbol of unity and peace in which your two lives are joined in one unbroken circle. Wherever you go, return unto one another and to your togetherness.
Officiant:
Now, I bid you look into one another's eyes and hearts.
(To groom), please place the ring on Bride's finger. Do you promise to show Bride your honor and fidelity, to share her laughter and joy, to support and stand by her in times of difficulty, to dream and hope together with her, and to spend each day loving her more than the day before?
Groom: I do
(To Bride) please place the ring on Bride’s finger. Do you promise to show Groom your honor and fidelity, to share his hopes and dreams, to laugh with him and share endless days of joy, to stand side by side with him in times of trouble, and to spend each day loving him more than the day before?
Bride: I do
By the exchange of these tokens of your love for one another, so are your lives interlaced. What one experiences, so shall the other; as honesty and love build, so will your bond strengthen and grow.
The vows of love have been spoken. I ask you now to cross your hands over each other, and take one another's hands.
Officiant wraps the cord around the bride and grooms wrists, binding them together loosely and tying a knot.
Bride and Groom as your hands are bound together now, so your lives and spirits are joined in a union of love and trust.
Above you are the stars and below you is the earth.
Like the earth should your love be a firm foundation from which to grow stronger through the seasons.
Like a star should your love be a constant source of light.
Like a flame should your union be warm and glowing with love in your hearts.
Like the wind may you sail through life safe and calm.
Like water should your relationship remain clean and soothing, that it may never thirst for love.
May your union be blessed. May all who encounter it be blessed with love. May your lives be full and your hurts be few. May you draw forth, each from the other, the highest and the best. May you be open and receptive to divine inspiration and guidance. May you express poise, patience and understanding with each other. May your lives blend together in harmony and joy and may you days be good and long upon the earth. By the Winds that bring change, by the Fire of love, by the Seas of fortune and the strength of the Earth do I bless this union.
As hands are still bound:
Pronouncement:
Officiant:
Your two hearts now beating as one, your two souls now deeply joined anew - walk forward together, forever hand in hand, May your marriage be a lifelong celebration of love! Now that the rituals are complete, you have made your promises, and exchanged your rings. May your lives together be filled with love and laughter.
By the power vested in me as an Officiant and the laws of this state, I now pronounce you husband and wife!
Groom, You may kiss the Bride!
Officiant will remove the cord while saying:
Bride and Groom this cord symbolizes so much. It is your life, your love, and the eternal connection that the two of you have found with one another.
Yet the knots of this binding are not formed by these chords- but instead by your vows. Either of you may drop the chords, for as always, you hold in your own hands the making or breaking of this union.
Officiant will prompt maid of honor to hand the bride her bouquet. Bride and groom will face their guests.
Officiant:
It is with great honor I present to you Mr. and Mrs. _____
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone please rise for the Bride.
Bride escorted by her father…..when they stop and get in place, Father is asked: Who gives this woman to be wed to this man?
Thank you everyone, you may be seated.
Welcome Everyone! We are all gathered here today to celebrate with and to witness the joining of Groom and Bride in marriage. As they promise to love, trust in that love, honor one another as individuals, and anticipate with joy spending the rest of their lives together, they are surrounded by you - their friends and family. Thank you for gathering here to witness their marriage and to share in the joy of this special occasion.
Groom and Bride, Today as you two are joined in marriage, there is a vast and unknown future stretching out before you. The potential and possibilities of your married life are endless. We join with you in hoping you make real all your hopes and dreams! Through your commitment to each other, may you grow and nurture a love that makes both of you better people, and a love that continues to give you great joy.
There was a time when your lives were two separate paths. Gradually, your lives joined as you grew closer together. Today, you are proclaiming to the world your choice to stay on the same path together in marriage. Soon you both will also proclaim to the world…This is my Husband, and this is my Wife!
As you go forward, remember that happiness in marriage is not something that just happens. A good marriage must be created. In marriage, the little things are the big things. Simple things like holding hands or remembering to say “I love you” daily. Your courtship should not end with the honeymoon, it should continue through all the years with continued romance. Remember not to take one another for granted. Marriage is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives. It is standing and facing the world together and forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family. Do things for each other; Speak words of appreciation; Be flexible, patient and understanding. And definitely keep a sense of humor! Remember that finding perfection in each other is what YOU consider perfect and it is not only marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner.
And now for your vows.
Groom, we will start with you. Please repeat after me.
Bride, I take you to be my wife. I will love and cherish you all the days of my life.
Bride. Please repeat after me.
Groom, I take you to be my husband. I will love and cherish you all the days of my life.
Groom and Bride will now exchange rings. (Name)…will you pass the rings, please?
Your rings are the universal symbols of marriage. From now on you will wear these rings and they will remind you of their endless circle….like your love, there is no beginning and no end. They will remind you daily that you are married. Sometimes they will remind you of the commitment that you have made - for better or worse; But, may they always remind you that there is one other person in the world that has pledged to love you forever, through thick and through thin and with all that they have.
Groom, as you place the ring on Bride’s finger, please repeat after me:
I can’t wait to see the fantastic trouble we’ll get into as we spend the rest of our lives together.
I vow to be the man you’ve always dreamed of having. I am truly the luckiest man alive.
I promise to be your loyal Knight and your Prince Charming.
In the storybook of our lives, here is the chapter where I say to you, “and we lived happily ever after”….
Today, I take you as my wife, my best friend and the love of my life for as long as we both shall live. With this ring, I marry you.
Bride, as you place the ring on Groom’s finger, please repeat after me:
The first time I saw you my heart whispered “he’s the one”. My heart was so right.
I promise to surprise you, to amaze you, to make you laugh, and to help you in your every endeavor.
I vow to love you fiercely, to love you without measure.
If I had to do it all over, I’d choose to be your wife every time.
I give you my hand and my heart….This, my Husband, is the beginning of forever; forever together as one. With this ring, I marry you.
Final Blessing
Life and love are the greatest gifts bestowed upon us. May your union grant you patience, tolerance, and understanding, as well as the passion and excitement every marriage should possess. May you continually rediscover your love in one another as the greatest gift of all. May the world be a better place because the two of you fell in love.
And now, it is my great pleasure to pronounce that by the power vested in my by the State of Ohio, I now pronounce you Husband and Wife.
I will get out of the picture zone and say “Groom…you may now kiss your bride”!
